So this is a blog about being intimate. Being intimate with self, with another, being intimate in community and being intimate with all life. It’s about tending to and honouring the delicacy, fragility, tenderness and gentleness of being truly intimate in and with Life, of being intimate with Soul.

My whole life I have had a big longing and a deeply rooted fear to be intimate in a love and sexuality kind of way, especially with men, I adore. I feel the time has come to write a new story about intimacy. There is so much to unlearn about sexuality and intimacy in the unbearable vulgarity of our times: of flesh without soul, of life without body, of relating to others without relating to self, of exposing and pushing, of speed without breath, of a hunger to consume and eat up, what is sacred.
So why not starting by acknowledging the intimacy that is already alive, vibrant, natural. Why not following the longings, this curiosity, exploring together with you. Why not allowing the words and any form of expression to come from my Heart and Soul into my body, my hands, into physical manifestation, into the space between us and then right back into Soul, again.

Knowing that what we share, helps me to get through the strangeness I sometimes feel. Do you remember intimate moments when you felt strange? When you just couldn’t follow or speak what was real and true for you, in that moment? Or the general feeling of being different or awkward in how you lived (or held back) your intimacy with the one and all?
Let’s bring Soul in.
